Which rules apply
We process your data under the Danish Act on Processing of Personal Data as it applies in Greenland (Royal Decree no. 1238 of 14 October 2016). If you live in the EU, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies when we process your data. We follow the same basic principles: we only collect what we need, we protect the data, and we delete it when we no longer need it.
What information we collect
- When you write to us through the contact form or the viewing form: name, email, phone number and what you write in your message.
- When you call or email us: the information you give us.
- When you buy or sell a home through us: the information needed for the deal. This can be name, address, contact details, information about the home and about financing.
- When you visit the website: technical information such as IP address, browser type and which pages you visit. See the section on cookies.
What we use the information for
- To answer your questions and arrange viewings.
- To complete a property deal if you buy or sell through us.
- To comply with the rules we are subject to, for example bookkeeping rules.
- To run and improve the website.
We do not send marketing unless you have said yes to it.
Why we may process the information
- Consent: when you contact us.
- Contract: when the information is needed to complete a deal you are part of.
- Legal obligation: when the law requires us to keep information.
- Legitimate interest: when we need to run the website safely and understand how it is used.
Who we share the information with
We never sell your information. We only share it when needed:
- With the other party in a property deal and with parties who need it to complete the deal, for example a bank, a lawyer or the authorities.
- With our suppliers of IT, website and email. They may only use the information to deliver their service to us.
How long we keep the information
Enquiries that do not lead to a deal are deleted when the case is closed. Information about a completed deal is kept as long as the law requires.
Cookies and statistics
The website uses cookies that are needed for the site to work, for example so the forms can be sent. We also use Jetpack Stats from Automattic to see which pages are used. The statistics do not show who you are. You can delete cookies in your browser.
Your rights
- Access: You can find out what information we have about you.
- Correction: You can have incorrect information corrected.
- Deletion: You can ask us to delete your information when we are no longer required to keep it.
- Objection: You can object to our processing of your information.
- Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time.
